Marco Zanuso graduated in architecture from the Politecnico of Milan in 1939. Since 1945 he has been practising as an architect, town planner and designer.
He worked for Domus (under the editor E.N. Rogers) from 1947 to 1949, Casabella (with E.N. Rogers) from 1952 to 1957. In 1957 he became one of the founding members of the ADI, Associazione del Disegno Industriale, of which he was president from 1966 to 1974.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico of Milan from 1969 to 1991 and from 1987 a member of the Academy of S.Luca.

Amongst his best known projects: Olivetti buildings at Crema, Scarmagno, Marcianise, Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Sمo Paulo (Brazil), the IBM headquarters at Segrate, Milan and S.Palomba; the design for the new Piccolo Teatro and the conversion of the Teatro Fossati in Milan.

He has designed numerous products for Arflex, Brionvega, Kartell, C&B, Gavina, Siemens, Elam, Necchi, Terraillon, Aurora, Feal, Volani.
