Enzo Mari lives and works in Milan. A common thread running through all his projects is that of reflecting on the meaning of “form” and “design”. His work began with research into visual perception, then focussed on games for children, art and graphics, design and architecture.

He alternates design with teaching, he has taught at the Centro studi di comunicazione visiva at the University of Parma, the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara, the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico of Milan and the ISIA di Firenze. He is a member of the Centro studi e Archivio della comunicazione in Parma (which holds around 9000 of his original drawings).

He has taken part three times in the Biennale at Venice in 1967, 1979 and 1986 and is three times winner of the Compasso d’Oro.
